Precious About Makeup (PAM) recently hosted a workshop with special effects expert, Claire Williams from Bloodymarvellous.
Providing an up close and personal demonstration, Claire shared with the audience, made up of makeup artists and prosumer, a slit throat effect using a pre-made sculpted silicone prosthetic piece. Key to the look was demonstrating how the piece was then attached to the models neck using prosaide, whilst a tube was carefully hidden under the silicone piece, so the Bloodymarvellous blood effect could then be realistically released.
Bloodymarvellous are renowned in the industry for its ultra-realistic bloods, ideal for close HD shooting. The range has also become a must-have essential for makeup artists because it only uses food grade ingredients so safe for use in the mouth, and its washable formula ensures it can be washed out from clothes and easily removed from furniture when used for props.
"Were always keen to host workshops that will appeal to our customers this throat slashing demonstration as it enabled the audience to ask questions, see the effect, touch the product and really grill Claire and the Bloodymarvellous team about their range. It was the perfect workshop for the professional makeup artist looking to expand their SPX skills," explained Alice Lennon, PAM sales and marketing executive.
Until then...geek on!
