As you know, I love a company with a conscience. I'm not naive enough to think that their intentions are entirely altruistic (they are running a business afterall), but whatever the intentions, the outcome is a positive one. Gelish's new endeavour is reaching out to our underprivileged young people and offering them a chance to get into the recession-proof nail industry.
Ten participants will be selected (five in the London area and five from the Nort of England) to undergo two days free training with Nail Harmony Educators. The training received will give candidates an in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and they will also receive a qualification in manicure and Gelish Gel Polish. The selected candidates will also receive full kits which will include an 18g LED lamp, 12 Gelish colours and all the tools they will need to propel themselves into a career in the nail industry.
Director of Nail Harmony UK explained why they have introduced the initiative. "We feel that we are just at the tip of the Gelish iceberg after continued year on year growth, constant celebrity attraction, TV programmes, and an ever-growing Harmony Army Team. We would love to offer an opportunity to others to share the success we have generated so far and continue to gain year by year in this recession proof industry."
