At the end of last month Sony introduced it's Bravia X9 line of 4K TVs to the UK. Honestly, what a 4K TV is remains a mystery to me but I do know that it has way more pixels than a normal TV. This presumably means that the quality is better, the detail more exact and every TV personality will be quaking in their boots at the thought of their faces been thrown into even higher definition than, well, high definition.

That aside, Sony have decided to show off the advantages of all those pixels by utilising even the tiniest canvasses as possible billboards. During Wimbledon, Anne Keothavong donned some of the smallest ads yet on her nails in an attempt to prove that advertising doesn't have to be big to be effective. She wore them throughout Wimbledon showing that Sony's extra detail could literally pay off.

Of course, you wouldn't have seen them unless you have one of those fancy-pants TVs which makes the whole experiment a little redundant. It's an interesting thought going forward though...

Until then...geek on!
