So i am looking to take over a salon local to me, as the business owner is very ill and she owns the freehold so would grant me a lease. The business is struggling a bit and i would have to cut costs and wages but i know i can turn this around. The rent would include 2 well fitted beauty rooms which i could get around £200 pw for.
Firstly in your experience how easy is it to rent the rooms out? And do you declare the income as your salom income? I would have to be careful not to go over the vat threshold!
