Hi

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get this info to you guys!

There are no clothing rules for Nailympics - T-shirts etc are fine

this is about nail skills not your personal presentation

All comps 2 1/2 hours - except Fantasy which is 1 hour

• Bins are provided (do not bring)
• Flowers are provided (do not bring)
• Desk lamps provided (do not bring)

You must tie long hair back
NO nail prep allowed (just manicure night before)
You can size up 10 tips and lay them out - but must not pre-blend or customise before start
All products must state what's inside - i.e. primer, adhesive, monomer etc - does not need to state ingredients.
Tell floor judge if cuticle is cut before start so points not deducted
Must raise hand during comp for any questions to marian the floor judge
If you finish early raise hand, clean up and you can leave the arena - model must stay put
Must bring gel lamp with you - pat tested if possible
Put 2 of everythng on table if possible- or riase hand and Marian will watch you take a product from your kit
Otherwise kit must not be touched at all during comp

I hope this answers all questions

see ya Sunday

Sounds like it is all covered there babe xxxx
I know it says Table lamp provided but lol and there is always a but........ Can I still bring my own and use that ??? It's my fav lamp and I never travel without it, but hey at least the bin and the flowers can stay at home......

Nice one Alex
See ya Sunday xxx

Hey Ruth

it's a health & safety issue

we have got to get all lamps used PAT tested

this is a rule of the local borough council

so it brings issues to the table if people bring their own

Do you mind much if we provide please

it would make out job easier

sorry to be a pain...
love alexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ;)

Hi Alex!

Just a quickie (in the nicest possible sense!), when do we get the results???

Georgie. Xx

Hi Georgie,
I am sure it is about 4 pm ish on the day lol.................I am sure thats what Caroline told me........... 3.30 pm to 4 pm'ish............

Found this on the website:
It kicks off on Sunday 20 March inside the Grand Hall of Olympia and will culminate with an awards ceremony on Monday 21 March at 4pm.

HTH
See ya there Hun xxxx

Had long chat with Alex today regarding all these details.

Do you know what.......they make the most sensible set of rules I've come across in a long while :p

It means you can concentrate on your nail skills!!!!

How cool is that??? Providing bins and lamps! The flowers are a great idea as so many competitors bring gorgeous arrangements which is more to carry and sometimes take up a tad too much room (!)

I'm sure Alex will answer, but I'm fairly sure the results are all on the Mon afternoon.

Good luck all you Geeky competitors :D
(and NO, you can't bribe me by wearing your badge  )

I wish everybody competing the very best of luck - you are so brave to put yourselves under that kind of scrutiny!

Gives us newbies (or not so newbies but wimps (me!)) something to aspire to.

I think I need lots more training (and my Creative conversion - as soon as I get to Spain I'll be calling Geeg!!) before I can attempt anything like that!

Good luck to u all! x

Ok what about a geeky badge, saftey goggles and a £50 tucked in my top pocket lol...........

Naaaaaaa ok didn't think so...............

But yes so far these have been the most sensible rules so far............ Tumbs up to Alex and Conspiritors lol.................At least I dont have to worry about my nose piercing, my bin can stay at the shop, my lamp can do the same and my flower display can stay displayed in the shop lol......All I need is my kit, a bag of good luck and where is my immodium lol......( only kidding)
