About to start college, excited!

Hi guys,

I am new on here and thought I would say hello. I am starting my Level 2 in Hairdressing this afternoon at Colchester Institute (Braintree College):lol:. I can't wait as being 29 years old, it's been a long time since I was at college. I am doing the college root but want to find a voluntary day at a salon, so any advice out there?

Hope your afternoon went really well and has fired you up for more.
Regarding voluntary work, I'll can only state the obvious; you will have to visit the salons personally and offer your services as a general dogsbody.
Other than that, my only other wee snippet of advice is to stay focused on your goals and don't get too disheartened if you aren't brilliant at everything first time... It does take oodles of practice :biggrin:
