I am new to this so please be nice lol [emoji4]

Keep blending hunny, you need to be able to see the smile line nice and crisp, and no milkyness where the tip is. I would also take the week of the tip down a little bit more before applying tip to natural nail. x

A great tip for blending tips is to always graduate your filing. Go from a 100 grit down to 240 close to the natural nail blending point. A 180 grit file actually blends faster than 100.

Another tip is to start thinning down the tip from the extension tip and inward. It reduces the stress on the natural nails and makes blending down easier.

Move as you where filing an egg. A lot of new artist focus on just blending the seem and not the entire tip.

The tip should be really thin all over before applying product. It's the enhancement material that is the strength, not the tip.

Happy blending :)

Thank you for the helpful tips. I'm enjoying doing it just at first found it a bit hard and down hearted about it course they don't look that good x

Blending improvement? Feeling happier with these, what do you think? Still a long way to go xx

Hi [emoji4] where did you train? X

I did a day course la belle training academy in Newcastle. I know day courses aren't as good as longer course but I'm still practicing every other day and I'm getting trained at the salon I've started at xx

Oh no I wasn't trying to scrutinise your training, you're doing great, it's really nice to see all your posts dedicated to improving your skills, I just thought I recognised you from my college from years ago x

Lol. I'm used to people saying day course tut tut lol. I've always got this answer ready.

Must have one of them faces lol. I've only been studying since 2014 in beauty late to it all I suppose xx

It's never too late... Especially if you have a passion for it! Which I can see you have!

They look great! Have you tried pre blending your tips! Also they look like they have a full well. Have you tried reduced well tips?

Silly question can you buy reduced well tips or no well tips or do I fill them down etc? What make would you advice? I'm so new to these lol [emoji87] xx

I've just got some nsi tips with smaller wells so I'll give them ago.

Your all full of great tips and advise [emoji4] I'm so grateful for salon geek it's helped me to develop my skills xx

Yes you certainly can! Have a look at Pro Impressions tips, they do a huge variety. I have to say I haven't used full well tips since training. When working on clients it's rare to need them.

Also wanted to add that the better quality the tip the easier and quicker it is to file. I personally use CND tips which take seconds to blend.

Here are some improvement pics from doing one thumb nail practise to two full sets. Done over the past week, what do you think? xx
