Black hair with Wella 9/1 weaved foils in

my friend has has black hair (tinted) and want 8/1 weaved foils in it how would i lift the hair and put 8/1 on it in weaved foils:Scared:

Its not possible to lift tint with tint. You would have to pre-lighten using bleach with foils, then tone down to 8.1 with a quasi.

Likehas already been suggested pre lighten with bleach then tone with a quasi but it will look vile!! Cruella Deville springs to mind going that light!!
