2014-2015 really seems to be the time for the older woman in beauty. First there was Joan Didion for Céline, Joni Mitchell for Saint Laurent, Tilda Swinton for Nars, then Charlotte Rampling, Helen Mirren and now Twiggy have all recently been given beauty campaigns and why? Because beauty companies are savvy; these women are beautiful, brilliant, successful and yes, in their sixties.

Twiggy is the latest to snap up a deal with L'Oréal Professionnel UK having been named an ambassador for the brand and just watching this video makes you realise just how damn delightful she is.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that using a fresh faced, youthful beauty to sell an anti-ageing cream to women in the thirties, forties and fifties and beyond isn't really going to cut it. Instead, show us real-life, beautiful women who look awesome for their age and tell us that we can look like that too.

Until then...geek on!
