There seems to be a new trend in beauty marketing. First NARS, now L'Oreal...the big players are choosing older women to front their campaign and why? Because they're beautiful (and have lots of money to spend on wonder cosmetics).
Earlier this month, NARS announced that Charlotte Rampling would be fronting their campaign and now, L'Oreal Paris have confirmed that Helen Mirren is the new face of the brand.
It's a savvy move. We are living longer which means there are a whole lot more women in their sixties who are not 'old', who are still making themselves look fabulous, who are still looking for the next best thing when it comes to cosmetics and skincare and what else? Oh yes, they have money to spend.
So, expect to see more of these fabulous women adorning billboards.
Until then...geek on!
