Hi all a member of my family has dyed her own hair black, although she's dark naturally (base 4) she wants it lightened to lets say beyonces colour (well slightly darker) as mentioned her hair is afro carribean type would this make a difference? what would the best way be to do this? i advised maybe lifting to orange & applying a 6/1 koleston and gradually having some highlights in to get the lighter shade she is after. What would you advise? I always get a bit nervy with col corrections! x
