Dose anyone use a computerised accounting programme?

I use one called TAS based on my accountants recommendation, but frankly it's for their benefit rather than mine!

I would love something which will give me all the figures I need to do my own end of year accounts, but in lay-man terms, rather than using accountant speak (idiot proof!!!).

Most systems I find are really dear. Sage is on offer if bank with lloyds as its pay monthy. Don't Babtac use a firm that does year end accounts for a certain low fee?

That's another area I'd be interested in getting into at some stage - accounting functionality. Would be interested to hear what your current system is like, and in what areas it's too complex, and also how it could be improved on...

The one that my accountants use is an online one called Easycounting Weblink, I think. I just enter all my accounting details on there, and then my accountants do the rest.
