Failure at chrome nails

Hi all. I'm a failure at chrome nails..no idea what I am doing wrong but every time it turns out matt!! I am practicing on plastics tips, I use black uv gel as a base. I so my two coats, I cure each coat for 1 minute. I then apply a no wipe top coat and cure for 1 minute before I apply the chrome. I just can not get mirror finish.
What am I doing wrong? I looked at many YouTube clips..ive even used gel top coat and rubbed the chrome into it after curing but

Hello, is the top coat you're using designed for the chrome brand you're using? Also what lamp are you using? Led or uv? X
