Gel nail top coats

Hey Guys, I'm just doing a maniucure course at the moment and nail art, but wondered do I need to be qualified in gel nails to use gel top coats, for my finished work. Please help im also interested inShellac does anyone know anything about it

a gel topcoat is only suitable for use over artificial nails . it wont work over natural nails because its not flexible enough. very soon after application it will be cracked all over.
