Glue ring

Hi ,
I have recently bought glue rings as i want to start lashing faster. I used a jade stone before, my confusion is, we need to change glue every so often so what do you do with the glue ring ? Keep putting glue in? Isn't the old glue going to affect the fresh glue?

I used a glue ring but found it too near my nose & irritated me, unless you use a mask which you should be anyway, you can put foil in it & replace x
