I have afro-caribbean hair, which I have worn in plaited extensions on and off for about 12 years. About a year ago, I took the extensions out, and heat straightened my hair. I did this for about 3-4 weeks, until I noticed some hair breakage. I put the extensions back in, to encourage re-growth. This weekend, I took the extensions out again to re-do, (which I do every 6-8 weeks) and, while I noticed some re-growth, I also have patch at the back where the hair has broken off and not regrown. It is so short, I can't attach any hair extensions to it.
