Hi girls/guys,

I had hair extensions fitted three weeks ago today for the first time ever.

I paid for Luxury Virgin Remy European wavy hair and I wonder if it's possible to have them tested to see if that is what I have been given.

Within the first week the hair frizzed up and became quite tangled and matted....this was pretty much after the first wash.

Today - I would say that they look wooly and that's even after putting leave in conditioner on them and combing them out with the recommended saw comb.

The other thing is that they are shedding hairs like crazy - every time I comb them I end up with a ball of hair...probably about one hundred hairs - and if I run my fingers through them they will also shed....I'm finding hairs everywhere I've been so it's pretty gross....it feels like I have an Afghan hound running around the place with the amount of blond hair. Is this normal? I'm no expert but I can imagine that if they keep shedding like this then the max time I will have them for is about a month.

It's pretty disappointing because they frizz so much that they need to be combed very regularly....but then combing them makes them shed.

It claimed on the website that this type of hair can last up to a year - if mine is anything to go by I would probably say a month max before it becomes a dried up ball.

I've only washed them seven times in three weeks and have followed the instructions that I was given for caring for them but these problems started to arise after the first wash.

I feel like I've been given a sub standard product and want to look into this myself because my hair extension specialist is telling me that I would not receive replacements or possibly just part refund. But if the product is not what it says on the tin then surely they should provide the correct product.

I have no experience of this and am disappointed that this has happened but if anyone could give me any ideas or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Cheers.

Lulu
