hey everyone, i start a beauty therapy course in september @ college and i got a letter stating my interview times etc and i also got a task sheet asking what various nail equipment is used for. i had an idea and iv already written down what i think are the answers, i assume its for them to see what i already kno. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what they are actually used for and the technical terms so i know properly

The equipment + what i think they are used for

Emery board - to file/shape nails
Orange Stick - remove dirt from underneath nail and push cuticle back
Cuticle knife - to unattach/lift cuticle from nail
Cuticle Nippers - to remove excess cuticle
Nail Buffer - to shine nails?
Nail Scissors - cut fingernails/toenails remove/trim off hangnails
Hoof Stick - used to push cuticle back

Thats quite weird that they've asked you to do that when you haven't started the course yet.neva mind

The rest are pretty much accurate and the orange stick is just used for removing the dirt from under the nails or removing excess nail varnish from the skin using cotton wool on the end.Your not ment to push back the cuticles with the orange stick

Hope it all goes well and I'm sure you'll have a fab time. I no I did!:lick:
