Hi Guys,

Just a heads up we have received several fake HMRC e-mails the past few days and just wanted to give others the heads up. Do not click any the attachments.

Here is a rough idea of what is said;

Hello,

Attached is a report on your 2013 tax refund, we need you to go through the pdf attachment to view the tax refund report.

Kindly advise your decision regarding this report for immediate processing. Thank you.

Hi I have received this e mail. I thought there was something strange about it so went onto HMRC websit. HMRC ask you to email them any odd emails you get. (see contacts)
 
We have forwarded it to there phishing department.
You can tell it's dodgy by the fact the e-mail address is actually from a gmail account if look closely.
 
I had one of these a while ago thought it was strange they were offering me a refund when I hadn't paid any tax! I did click on the link where they ask for all your bank account details which i did not provide thank goodness! I forwarded the email to HMRC
 
I got one today and deleted it straight away.

Had one to, deleted it my friend works for HMRC and said to report it x
 
Yeah I have had a fue, did report one :-D
