Hi,
So after a salon hair disaster where I asked to be blonde and the colour had a noticeable green tinge to it, I have not been able to completely get rid of this since, the only time being whereby I coloured my hair a golden brown from garnier nutrisse, which started fading after two months and some khaki was coming through again.
Last week I got my hair highlighted and stressed that a reddy/golden colour MUST be put on the hair first, otherwise it would have that green tinge again. The hairdresser assured me she'd put a toner on it all afterwards so that there wouldn't be the green.
Well she put it on and low and behold the khaki was still there. I since bought a procleur (sp?) herbal blonde toner in beige which has helped to kick out the brassiness however in some lights the khaki still shows.
Purple shampoos are no good as my hair is not 'brassy', just 'greeny'. Is my only hope dying it red again to get the pigment back, as I had to when I was given a bleach wash and the whole thing went canary yellow?! Or should I buy another blonde toner, I was thinking Wella colour fresh 8/3 golden blonde..
I'm going back to the hairdressers tomorrow, does anyone have any advice I can give THEM?!
Thanks for any help/tips you can think of!!!
