Just one Insurance Policy

Hi Ya Geeks

At the moment i have treatment insurance with BABTAC (policy no1)...

I have to have extra insurance (policy no 2) for salon contents and stock.

I now need body piercing insurance (policy no 3).

I would like one policy to cover the whole lot.

I am getting sooooo frustrated....Does anyone know where i can purchase the whole policy in one go.....?

I agree, Salon Gold, the have everything under one roof for the beauty, stock and piercing side. Great prices too with little excess I think.

Just to say, I have taken a very well known beauty insurance company, to the Insurance Ombudsman for being misold a policy. I kept all emails sent etc. I will post on here , the outcome, but for a company to say that you are insured for a certain thing, then say oh no, we wont insure you for that, and take your money, is so so annoying.

I too am with Salon Gold and have never had any problems with them. I'm always adding extra things on and it's never any problem. They are always very friendly and i'm covered for everything.

I am having the same problem also. I need liability insurance for being mobile as well as my beauty room but then also need my stock and equiptment insured incase of theft or a fire. I want to go with someone such as BABTAC due to the fact that i think they are more specialised to beauty but it's £95 for the liability insurance and then £116 for the contents insurance which is only covered if i have a something something dead lock on the door entrance and the premises is not mine so how the hell would i know what door locks it has and if it hasn't got the right door locks for the insurance i'd have to pay to get the right lock put on. Argh it's so frustrating!!!

I can sympathise. Unfortunately contents insurance is far more complicated; if it was as straight forward as public liability we would also include it in our policy. That is not to say that it will always be the case however, we are certainly trying to bring as many things under the umbrella as possible.

Who knows - we may have better news in the future and if we do, you can believe we will be shouting about it

Would Salon Gold cover me for Body Piercing, Waxing, Nails & eventually hair?
Is Salon Gold a Babtac policy?

You need to fax your piercing cert to babtac adn they will update your insurance. maybe you could ask about the contents at the same time. they might have the extra polici for that.

I also use salon gold and their policy insures the salon for everything - up to 6 staff, stock, public liability, treatment liability, business interruption, cash they even cover me as a trainer for waxing and tanning, all at a very reasonable cost.
