Hairdresser/beauty mums self employed and self employed- how long did you take off maternity leave (just for the first child I’m interested in), did you find it enough time and would/did you do it differently the next time? It’s hard to know what to do about clients. They were practically clawing at me to do their hair after 4 months lockdown! I wouldn’t have any financial issue with being off for a long time, it’s more my business in general I’m thinking of, and how many years I’ve spent building up my client base. I plan on breastfeeding for a year as well, if I can (my Dad is a Pediatrician and I would never want to do formula out of choice, not judging others). I can’t work out how anyone would breastfeed whilst returning to work fairly early on as a hairdresser? I don’t work in the kind of environment where I could bring the baby along etc, before anyone mentions it lol x
