Ombre effect chipping-help

I done a lovely ombre effect using mica powder and another lady using the cnd additives but both have said the free edge has chipped after 2 days.
I know I capped the edge with tio so what else could I do to stop it chipping? I am redoing them for them this wk.

Hi, maybe you are using too much of the additive/mica. You only need the tiny tiniest amount

I normally do my ombré from the cuticle area faded down, just so I can get a good seal and the free edge is not affected.
