Part time work wanted for NVQ1 student, Midlands area?

Hi

Im studying NVQ1 hairdressing part-time at college.

Id like to get into a salon part-time, in the Midlands area.

Does anyone know of anywhere, or where is the best place to look?

phone/email/visit every salon with your question and see what they can do for you.

Employment opportunities can be limited whilst still studying but even if you could do some volunteer work on a Saturday (cleaning and making tea), this could still be a positive step in the right direction

How about a mini CV saying what you're doing, where you'll be studying, and what you're hoping to do. You could also add your email address, facebook page etc, and hand it in at as many salons as you can. It's something that the manager/ess can look at when you've left the salon, gives them all the main details, and shows initiative. My Granddaughter is at college doing hair and beauty etc, it's hard work but she loves it. All the best in your hunt, and let us know how it goes x
