Tanning boutique - summer time low

Hi all
We are a new salon just under a year old. One director has told me that our busiest time should be now (June) until August but this month we have not been busy at all.
As the manager I've done my own research and believe as the weather is scorching, people are away that actually our expected revenue should be lower than May when we absolute smashed our target.

Anybody got any advice on this?

Is it just Tanning you do?

Normally people want to prep their skin for summer holidays etc but we've had some lovely weather over past few weeks so people are making the most of it and going out and about spending time with family etc or just enjoying the sun. I think it would be pretty normal to experience a huge downturn when the weather is nice outside if you mainly only do tanning.

we are purely a tanning boutique. thats what i thought. its too nice to be indoors when theres a big park by our salon.
