So I'm a brand new therapist and I have a huge dream for a beautiful salon.. With a relaxing tea room within..

Im just going to start of self employed and provide beautiful treatments from home.

It would be amazing to hear peoples successful stories and what to do and what not to do !!

Hi, my biggest 'what not to do' would be don't give the world and his wife discounts or start off cheaply as it's very hard to then increase your prices and I speak from experience! Charge what you are worth!

Letters from GPs really depends on your level of training and your insurance. If you have specialist training in, for example, therapies and cancer care, some insurance companies don't then require written GP permission and verbal permission is enough. Always check with your insurance. I usually err on the side of caution and get written confirmation anyway.

BRILLIANT thank you thats great advice as alot of people have said to me your price list is expensive for just becoming a therapist but I explained to them im worth a lot more so that does make me feel at ease!
