Hello so I’m training in level 2 beauty therapy, have been on and off since 2018 but I went on maternity leave for a year and COVID has delayed my training. Anyways, I’m finding it hard to get the “perfect” finish as I’m thinking about timing in my head. My manager gives us 30 mins for gels, 30 mins for a manicure, 30 mins for a pedicure and 1 hour for acrylics. I find that to get perfect gels, a manicure and pedicure with gel I take around 45. For acrylics, I’m not the best as newly qualified but to get them as good as I can it takes me up to 3 hours!!!! When I know my manager is in, I try and rush to get my treatment done in time but then the outcome isn’t the same. She said today that I need to perfect my treatments but I said I feel like I rush as the timing is in my head but she said I need to be quicker with prepping, she’s lovely and gives good constructive criticism but I feel like if I carry on like this nothing will be “perfect” has anyone got any tips??? It’s an online booking system too so if someone books straight after it’s not like I can take longer
