I would like to get more out of doing nails, can any advise me how to start doing competions and how would I get into teaching. I have been doing nails for about 5 years and only do the basic tip and overlay using acrylic and natural overlay, a little nail art. I have my own salon and need some guidence.

I would read Professional Nails and Scratch every month, they will certainly keep you informed of the various competitions coming up and how to enter, but also have regular fantastic articles giving tips and advice to competition entrants.
I would also get some additional training in some other methods of enhancements, i.e. sculptured, gel, wraps, etc, etc to expand your knowledge of the industry and also to offer a wider service to your clientele. hth!
