Hi all,

Just wanted to ask you all a question about waxing;

Is it safe enough for a client to have her legs waxed if she has had an operation for varicose veins removal in the past? I am talking over ten years ago since the op but she has started to get some small lumps and veins back? She really wants them waxed but I am little unsure? Thought I'd better check with you guys first?
:confused:
Thanks

It's perfectly safe to wax over them gently. Even better to use a non strip wax just over the veins. You should check with your insurers though. xxx

If you're still unsure just get them to check with their GP too. I have ladies who have mild varicose veins and don't have any problem with waxing them (as the Wax Queen has just said) but I also have other ladies whose veins are too prominent and so I won't wax them.

Just to add on to what Debs has said. It isn't always that something isn't safe to do, it's just that we have to protect ourselves in case something goes wrong.

As long as you do not wax over any veins that are protruding
