What should I do?

Hi everyone,
I have broken one of my own tips off and my own nail is split a little at the sidewall but too far down for me to cut it off or file down. Can anyone give me some advice on what I should do in order to put a new tip on please?

Hi donna,
I would trim off down the free-edge that is broken then apply adhesive to the split. Then tip and overlay as normal.
