Working from home to salon

Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of advice. I'm working from home at the moment (on an as and when basis) as I've notice in getting quite busier now so looking at moving to a salon on a self employed basis as a beauty therapist.
I predominantly do makeup as a makeup artist but will be doing the usual lash lift, tinting etc and also hair extensions.

Can anyone give me a bit of advice where to start as I will be quitting my full time job and quite nervous.

Why would you want to go into a premises where you then have to pay rent when you can do the same job at home rent free?
