Whether you love Apple or hate them, you can't deny the impact that their technology has had on almost every aspect of our lives. The specialist magazine, You Hair, has jumped on the iPhone bandwagon and created the You Hair 'Style Genius: 50 DIY Styles' app.
For a mere £0.69 users have access to 50 hairtsyles accompanied by a step-by-step guides and hints and tricks to allow them to recreate the looks with not a hair out of place. That's not all...the app also has a 'Buy It Now' button that allows consumers to shop for all the featured products without leaving the comfort of their iPhone.
Here at Salon Geek HQ we think this is a pretty nifty idea and it got us thinking about the wonderful world of apps. You all know (or at least you should!) about our fancy-pants app that means you can now have access to Salon Geek pretty much anywhere you need it but is the app a tool that salons and/or beauty professionals can use? In fact, how much do we use the wonderful world wide web to get ourselves out there professionally?
We can't wait to hear about any tips and tales that you have of utilising the internet for promotion. Does it stop at a website? Does it even get that far? Are Facebook and Twitter the way forward in generating business? Or does it make no difference at all?
Let us know...
Until then...geek on.
