My friend is going through something very similar. She's lost her Mum, then her Dad. Didn't deal with them. She has a multitude of medical conditions and needs personal care. She spent four months last year in hospital, three induced comas, three attempts at a tracheostomy and the third worked...

Just a thought.....but is she using too much product? They may be weighing it down or too moisturising maybe. Also, as said above, age could play a part. I know my hair had changed because of menopause. Maybe her hair needs a rest from heat too. Just throwing ideas out.

I'd say give it time. Colours are really intense to begin with. A couple of washes can really make a difference. Maybe focus more on a lighter shade for her next appointment rather than mess around too much with it right now and potentially making more work for yourself x

I used Wella KP 7/7 on my friends hair after she boxed dyed it blonde and ruined it. She was a fading pink and couldn't wait. It blended her roots and tie dyed hair in lovely.
