I have just got ISalon in my salon and was put off with pricing to start with but I don't know how I worked without it - It does everything for me from reports to online bookings, I can now see how much my salon makes or how much it is expected to make the next week and then do marketing if im...

    Rant alert-insensitive clients

We had similar problems with bringing kids to the salon for nail appointments, massage and waxing its not that we don't like children but as you found its a hazard and dangerous plus takes you much longer to do the treatment. We politely put up a notice and added a notice to the monthly...

What sort of direct marketing do people carry out here?

I use facebook - share, like and tag friends are good for us and good with getting more likes, Also we use our marketing on our software we sometimes send emails or SMS dependant on the situation. Clients using social media for appointments?

To help with this why not get online bookings and link it to your facebook page that's what I've done and put an automated message on my facebook messenger asking people to use the book now and get directed to my online booking portal. I have seen a brilliant response to this and now 60% of all...

    Reviews on Glamorous Lengths hair

I would not recommend them at all - rubbish hair that sheds and tangles. You aren't stuck using their hair after you've trained but I do think it is important to get good training and hair when doing extensions as there is a lot of people out there. You need quality to attract new clients and to...

    Treatwell?

I haven't had the best time with them - noticed that they will push your salon but as soon as a client does visit you they will then push another salon onto the client so they make more money- yes it gets people in but also just people who want cheaper treatments. We always tried to upsell other...

    GDPR Compliance by May 2018

If you have a software provider and use that for all your client info and booking you will be more protected as the software companies need to be compliant. I have been guided to put a pop up when clients come in for appointments from now on asking if they give permission and I just have to tick...
