We are currently recruiting for salon assistants to train and support in qualifying as a hairdresser.

Celebrated London hairdressers, The Lounge Soho, has been servicing the heads of Soho movers and shakers for the past 15 years. The brainchild of hairdresser Joe Mills, this boutique, unisex, London hair salon opened in Peter Street, W1 in the late nineties.
Now firmly established as one of the very best hairdressers in London, The Lounge Soho cuts, colours and styles both womens and mens hair. The accomplished work of our stylists earns our reputation as a top London salon - that has been featured in a great variety of publications and magazines, including Vogue, Elle Decoration, GQ, The Sunday Times Style and Time Out.
THE ROLE
You will be assisting our international colourists and stylists - giving you the opportunity to learn and observe from the best. This is a fantastic opportunity to get inside the heart of our salon.
General duties will include:
Assist with the smooth-running of the salon. This includes: meet & greet procedures, providing drinks to clients, shampooing and most importantly keeping the salon clean and organised at all times.
Maintaining the highest of standards in your conduct and appearance
Working as part of a team to provide excellence in customer service
ABOUT YOU
We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated individuals with an outgoing, friendly personality. No experience is necessary, but you will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, ambition, a passion for hairdressing and a willingness to learn. However experience in previous salon environment is an advantage.
You will need to demonstrate and show:
Willingness to learn and grow professionally
Ability to demonstrate great communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Initiative and enthusiasm
Flexibility and self-motivation
Sense of maturity and responsibility
Punctuality
Ability to work well under pressure
Passion for the hair and beauty industry
As reward for your hard work in salon we provide weekly day release for in-salon training, and college assessment. We provide the help and support to help you obtain your NVQ 2
It is a fast paced environment and is essential that the successful candidate is hard-working and looking for an exciting challenge.
