do you think they could be summat you put on after painting so the nails wont smudge? just an idea cos im as lost as you are on this one.......

Exactly.
Nailite and premier nail source retail them.
I have a few as freebie samples.
For clients with wet nails, it gives them a couple of available fingers to use keys on car doors..
I don't really use them. Not very practical. Although, have given out a few of my 'freebies' and clients liked them. Makes them more concious of what they do with their hands than anything else, so therefor more careful of smudging.
