Is anyone doing anything creative to attract new clients and clients that have not been in for a while?:)

Hello Lynlyn,

Have you thought about a reward program? Or a referral program? You could offer your clients a free treatment if they refer say 3-4 new clients to your business.

Or they can earn points for money they spend with you to be used towards their next treatment or retail.

They're is a section here, called the "Biz Geek". I think you may find ideas for alot of your questions there too.

Hope I gave you some good ideas!

Jesse

A reward system is a great idea as stated above, I do an recommend a friend and the client and the person she has recommended get 10% off when they come in, this seems to work sometimes, people love money off offers!

I sometimes do an offer where they recieve 10 % off their infills after having a full set applied this often works to get them to return back and not have the nails as a one off! Making them an appointment before they leave and then calling/texting to remind them a few days before often works.

The frustrating thing is 40% of my clients have a full set applied as a one off and simply dont come back for maintenance as they panic about the cost/time to have their enhancements on all the time. The other precentage are die hard nail fans whom i have done for years, I do think especially in my area that money is still tight after the recession and i have been disappointed when clients don't return for infills. The weekend nails have worked well for me too - they are great for those who want enhancements for a one off occasion without the commitment of having to come back for maintenance - also they are cheaper which is always more attractive to some clients.

Anyone else have any ideas or are also strugling to 'keep' clients x

I think that we are all struggerling at the minute no matter where you live.

I have just had some flyers printed to put out around where i live. I also offer monthly special offers and at the minute even they are not attracting new clients as money is tight for everyone but hopefully now the weather is picking up a little and people are starting to think about the holidays or getting there feet out on show again things will start to pick up for everyone. But i think in this business clients come and go sometimes someone will have there nails done for a few months and then you maybe wont see them again or they will maybe return to you in six months or so and have there nails done again :)

As the others have said, times are still quite hard right now. However with Spring just about here people are thinking of weddings and maybe now is a good time for a wedding promotion. Perhaps an afternoon/evening event talking and demonstrating ideas for bride and groom hands.....think of those close up ring photos! A glass of fizz and some cupcakes works a treat :green: You could announce it in your local press beforehand, then submit a photo of everyone having a good time afterwards. Sounds cheesy and may not lead to immediate new business but getting your name out there regularly filters into public awareness.

Also, the personal touch for clients adds a little something - take a moment with their record card and jot a few reminders for their next visit....how they take tea/coffee, did they mention a holiday/house move/pet/ grandchild etc.
Sorry, seem to written a novel here, lol!

I answered a topic recently on reward points and was inspired to write the following article on reward points:

Client loyalty and reward points | Salon Software News

I hope people find this useful. I'll place this in a few threads related to reward points and welcome any feedback.

Hope it helps,

Rob
