Had a call asking for these and I have accepted the booking lol although never done this before but as its not a couple of weeks there's time to nail it (sorry about the pun)

Anyone do this, any tips on technique and where would you get your flowers from?

Oh and what about charging? How much extra do you charge?

thanks all xx

I would...
Apply tip
Small dot of glue
Place flower in position
Encapsulate with clear acrylic
File @ buff as per
Xxx good luck

Doh- sorry just read you use gel
Ive never tried with gel but is guess a similar technique using builder gel to encapsulate xxx

Hiyas, do you mean a real flower or a 3d flower made from acrylic?

This is a embedded 3d hand sculpted flower for l&p then encased in l&p

Thanks Rinn :) x

If you really need to do them in gel and not L&P, have a look on Ebay as they do nail art moulds...you just fill them with gel, cure, remove from the mould and adhere them to the nails...hope this helps x

exactly, yes

I bought mine from eBay, I searched dry flowers.

I did my usual prep
Base layer scrubbed in, cure
Thin layer, cure
Place flower and you need to not be delicate placing it or it curls off
Thin layer, cure
Apex log layer, cure
Cleanse
Refine
Top coat, cure
Cleanse if needed.

So, in short I layer it in the bottom layers rather than after the apex has been built.

I've done a fair few in gel but can't find no pictures to show, only my first acrylic one.
