Big curls!

hey there everyone! ive got really long thick hair, I want to create those very large curls I think there called barrel curls? ive seen christina aguilera with them, theyre not loose curls like the type you get with straigtners or even rollers, and theyre very big a bit 50's style, do u know how id do them?? thanx xx

i think i have seen pics of her 50's hair, i reckon medium velcro's with a strong mousse or setting lotion and either under a hood dryer or wear them for a few hours...wash your hair first and velcro slightly damp...but dont roll to the head ie leave the roots out...a bout 6 inches from the head hth
