Bridal Hair

Hello all,

Does anyone specialise in bridal hair? If so do you earn much money and do you have regular bookings? Also would it be best to go on a special course to tailor my skills so to speak?

I would like to specialise in bridal hair and make up once I have done my NVQ's of course, I would do other hairdressing (e.g cut colur and blow drys etc) as a more a side line on dates where I wouldn't be doing the bridal.

Hi There,

I specialise in Bridal hair, however you really need to have something for a sideline to begin with as most of my bookings where for a year in advance. There is quite an initial outlay too with advertising, going to bridal fayres, advertising in bridal magazines just to get your name out there, as you obviously won't have regular clients! Hopefully after about a year your name will get out there through word of mouth and the expentiture should come down.
I keep thinking of training in make-up as well, though my bookings are coming in faster and faster, I might not need to or have the time.

I'd say be patient and concentrate and get good at one thing.
