What do you all use to clean your facial sponges, nail files etc..

Any recommendations

I do not reuse. Especially sponges.

I have to say the clients get the sponges at the end of their facials and nail files we include it in the cost of the treatment .

What do you all use to clean your facial sponges, nail files etc..

Hi Jo, were you advised to clean and re-use your sponges and nail files on your training course as that seems out of step with normal hygiene regs.

As others have said, I would expect to give them to the client as part of the service. I'd use a disinfectant to clean metal tools/implements and I use a spray disinfectant on my hairdressing scissors and clippers between clients.

I was taught to clean and reuse sponges. A UV cabinet or barbicide.
Some files can be sanitised. Look for ones that say you can. Spray disinfectant or a uv cabinet will work.

A uv cabinet for nail files and sponges should be washed in warm soapy water and in Milton diluted a sterilisation solution I teach NVQ level 2 and 3 and that's the regulations in college xx
