Hi,
Its been a while since I last posted as I have been busy at college. I took the plunge and enrolled on an nvq part time beauty course at my local college. It has been hard work but generally I am loving it.
I have been doing a business course as well for work (I work in admin) but elected to take an optional business plan and development unit. It is this that I am looking for help with.
For this unit I have to produce a business scenario and business plan. Mine was to open a beauty salon to begin with and then we were given a scenrio an mine was that the services I offered didn't meet my clients needs and now I have to react. My thought was to add on hairdressers as it seems to be a new avenue alongside the beauty. I now have a number of questions that I can't answer the first being how do I a non hairdresser with limited industry and business experience employee a hairdresser when I am unable to evaluate them.
I have a number of options but not sure so my question to all you is how would I employee a hairdresser, should I employee them directly to my business and then how do I assess them or should I rent the chair and then in which case how does this work.
I hope that I have not sent everyone to sleep with my rambling but could really do with some help as I am loving both courses and would like to get good grades.
