Does anyone have one in their salon?

Are you thinking of buying one? I remember a year or two ago a WatchDog programme about these machines and what a con they are. In fact around that time there was another thread on here about them that you might find interesting.

The last salon I rented a room in had the Aqua Detox machine (which is the one that was on Watchdog) & I once attended one of their conferences to see what it was all about. A lot of their claims were based on weird Spanish studies (the doctor giving the talk didn't even speak English so they had a translator, but even she couldn't understand what he was going on about!) & kinesiology - hardly science based!

At first they said the bits were 'toxins' from the body, then later changed that & the literature that stated it, claiming instead it strengthened your organs & increased circulation. No-one that ever had it noticed any improvement, instead people seemed to have it to compare what colour their water went, anything from a slight tea colour to full on Bovril broth.

A therapist is only as good as the hands, tools and products he/she has....so i would not invest in one of those!

Read a book called Bad Science.
Explains how they 'work'.
