Hi

We're considering employing a youngster to help out in our sunbed salon during busy times. They would be wiping out the beds, making coffee and generally tidying/running around.

We know about the rules and hours allowed, but we have to apply for an employment permit for a named child. Has anyone done this for our type of salon? We don't want to get a youngster's hopes up by saying yes to a job and then we get turned down by the council for the permit.

Thanks
H

I've not heared about a permit before but am going to be taking my niece on for Saturdays soon, I'll follow this :)

We have to apply for an employment permit from the local council - guessing it's nationwide :-/

:/ seems their only allowed to work 5 hours on Saturdays, what were you planning to pay yours?
