Gigi ingrown hair preventer can cause birth defects?

I've just got sown of the Gigi ingrown hair ad red bump preventer as I get really bad ingrown hairs no matter how much I moisturiser and exfoliant I throw at myself haha, I don't know if it's something to do with being prone to psoriasis or not?!

Anyway, has anyone heard anything about this?! It says in the state of California it has been found to cause birth defects and reproductive defects?!

Does anyone use an alternative? X

Ive heard (not seen) that it states on the back of the product that an ingredient used in it has been known to cause birth defects and reproductive harm.
