Hi Geeks,

Those of you in the hair extension industry, who would you suggest is most recognised for accreditation?

BABTAC, HABIA, ABT etc

Xx

At one time years ago everyone in the hair extension sector went with HABIA, but times have changed and now most hair extension trainers and companies go with ABT. Connect-2-hair used to be accredited with HABIA and are now accredited with ABT, and insurance approved with ABT, COVERSURE, TOWERGATE, WESTMINSTER-INDEMNITY.

Hi Emily, ABT are recognised as one of the best insurance companies. We would recommend using them x

Do you have any impartial evidence for that statement or are you promoting them because they accredit your courses?

ABT will insure specific extension courses that have paid for accreditation. They also offer insurance to qualified hair extension techs who don't already hold any recognised hairdressing qualifications.

HABIA will no longer accredit hair extension courses that are open to non hairdressers. (i.e. don't require their students to hold a minimum of a NVQ level 2 or equivalent, in Hairdressing)

Definitely ABT

ABT...full years insurance £38 with tower gate health and beauty
