Lewis Moore, a member of the JOICO European Design Team, has been named as a finalist in the Alternative Hair Show Visionary Awards 2013.
Moore was selected as one of five hairdressers representing the UK after submitting a striking image with a hairstyle inspired by the glamour & beauty in film in the 1940s era.
The Visionary Awards were created by Alternative Hair President, Anthony Mascolo who wanted to find a way to identify, recognise and encourage new talent. Tony Rizzo, founder of Alternative Hair, stated that the awards had received "record submissions this year with an impressive and the largest finalist short list the competition has ever seen each presenting to win a place in the 2014 Alternative Hair Show."
Lewis Moore described his nominated look as "...a creation of textured curls with a hidden meaning, contrasting strength to highlight a defined shape and outline. Creating shapes that are sensual, strong yet there is a softness that is contradictory, almost puzzling and enigmatic. I'm really looking forward to the night and it's such a great feeling to have been selected amongst my peers for this award."
The Alternative Hair Show will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on 13th October 2013.
