Hair salon home based?

Hi everyone as the title suggests I am looking at running my own salon from home. Is it possible? In its own room within my home. I am thinking of converting a bedroom.
Has anyone done this?

Anything is possible! Do you have an existing clientele already? I would just make sure you have enough clients to warrant converting a bedroom. You don't want to plumb a basin in and just be doing a couple of clients a week at home. The costs have to stack up. Obviously you will need to change your home insurance to business use and check for council permits etc.
