Hair up courses in North West

I'm not a qualified hairdresser but had requests at my tanning salon for 'hair ups' - does anyone know if there's any courses in the North West/Manchester just designed for training in hair ups and whether a hairdressing background is required?

Have you tried your local colleges? Ino Liverpool community run a 12 week extreme hair up course last year and ino the training station in Prescot do private courses, they have a website!
