Nail Tech (in training) Needs help!~

Hi. I'm about to be finished with school, however there's a lot I feel like I still need to learn about doing nails. I work at a coffee shop in the mall, and the nail salon in the mall is talking about hiring me when I get out of school. I think perhaps I should ask them if I can sit and watch to learn more sometimes until my test date ect, because I feel like there's a lot more that I need to learn. I know the basics of how to put an acrylic nail on, mani and pedi, and the BARE MINIMUM about UV and silk wrap. I would not feel comfortable even attempting UV or silk wrap on a person right now. I don't even really feel comfortable about the silk wrap for my state board test! ahh! I also think I'm going to have LOTS of trouble on my written test! I feel like I'm very behind and have just been scraping by in class because I'm the only single mom who's the only one who takes care of her baby 90 percent of the time, the rest of them are all moms but have a ton of help and I barely have time to get my homework done it seems or else I have to sacrifice housework.

So basically... I have two Fridays left and have until August 3rd for my state board. I've been told I can take my written test wherever. Does anyone have any suggestions for the Virginia state board test or know any way that I can study more for my written test?

Also, the nail tech lady who I talked to at the mall says she makes 2k a week. WHOA! Is that usual for a good nail tech who works in a mall??
